Frequently Asked Questions

Dairy services FAQ — Idaho.

Straight answers on concrete grooving, lagoon pumping, manure hauling, scheduling, and the towns we cover across Idaho.

How much does manure hauling cost in Idaho?

Manure hauling cost in Idaho depends on volume, haul distance to the application field, and whether spreading is included. Most Magic Valley and Mini-Cassia dairies see per-load or per-hour pricing once we've walked the site. We give a free written quote after an on-site visit so the number reflects your actual setup, not a generic rate.

How often should a dairy lagoon be pumped?

Most Idaho dairy lagoons need solids removal every 1–3 years depending on herd size, lagoon volume, bedding type, and inflow. Operations that pump on a regular schedule avoid emergency overflow risk during wet seasons and stay ahead of compliance. We help dairies set a recurring cadence rather than waiting for capacity to become a problem.

What is concrete grooving and why do dairies need it?

Concrete grooving cuts a diamond or linear pattern into worn alley, parlor, and walkway concrete to restore traction. Smooth dairy concrete leads to slips, injuries, and forced culls. Grooving extends the life of the existing slab — far cheaper than replacement — and improves cow comfort and movement within days of completion.

How long does dairy alley grooving last?

Properly cut grooves on dairy alleys typically last 5–10 years depending on traffic, scraper type, and slope. Heavy-traffic crossovers and feed alleys wear faster than back alleys. We size the groove pattern to expected wear so the job is right for your operation, not a one-size-fits-all cut.

Do you serve dairies in the Treasure Valley?

Yes. We extend service west to Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, Kuna, Middleton, Parma, Wilder, Homedale, Marsing, Emmett, Payette, Fruitland, New Plymouth, and Weiser. For Treasure Valley jobs we stage equipment locally and batch work across multiple dairies to keep mobilization cost reasonable.

Do you serve Mini-Cassia and the Burley area?

Yes — Burley, Rupert, Paul, Heyburn, Declo, Oakley, and Malta are all on our regular Mini-Cassia rotation. We typically batch grooving and lagoon work across multiple operations in the area so dairies share mobilization costs.

Do you serve eastern Idaho dairies?

Yes. Blackfoot, Aberdeen, American Falls, Shelley, Idaho Falls, Rigby, and Rexburg are within our extended service range. Eastern Idaho jobs are scheduled in multi-day blocks so the trip from Jerome covers several operations in one mobilization.

Can you coordinate lagoon pumping and manure hauling in the same trip?

Yes — and we recommend it. Combining lagoon solids removal with field application in one mobilization cuts downtime, reduces total truck trips, and keeps your nutrient plan tight. Many of our Magic Valley dairies book both services together.

How much advance notice do you need to schedule work?

For routine grooving and scheduled pumping in the Magic Valley, a couple of weeks is usually plenty. For emergency lagoon work we try to be on-site same week. Treasure Valley and eastern Idaho jobs benefit from a few weeks of lead time so we can batch with other operations in the area.

Where is T² Agworks based?

We're based in Jerome, Idaho, in the heart of the Magic Valley dairy country. From the Jerome yard we routinely serve dairies across Jerome, Twin Falls, Gooding, Lincoln, Cassia, Minidoka, Elmore, Ada, Canyon, Owyhee, Gem, Payette, Washington, Power, Bingham, Bonneville, Jefferson, and Madison counties, plus Malheur County in eastern Oregon.
